The Dept. of Social Work aims at demonstrating the relevance of social work interventions in dealing with social issues and problems. It also has the duty of strengthening its theoretical foundations. We are initiating the Department of Social Work with an unwavering focus on social development, specifically that of the marginalized communities such as: women, children, the vulnerable, the elderly, the physically challenged, and also the victims of disasters both natural and man-made.
Vision
The vision of the Department of Social work at JPM is to be a trend setter in social justice oriented social work education, promotion of human dignity, inclusiveness and equality. It also aims at enhancing mental health and well-being among people
