INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS CELL

Intellectual property plays an important role in providing a competitive edge to any Institution.

The IPR Cell of the college was constituted on October 22, 2020. The cell aims at providing Intellectual Property Rights awareness to teachers, research scholars and students. Intellectual property rights include patents, copy rights, trade marks, design registration, plant variety, trade secrets and geographical indications. The IPR Cell provides a basic knowledge of geographical indication, IPR, patent concepts and procedure of filling the patents at national & international level. The IPR Cell also advices  students and teachersabout trade mark, copyrights, brand name, etc. The IPR Cell provides a platform to share and discuss the latest development and applications with practical exposure.

Objectives.

• To organize IPR awareness programs in the colleges.
• To create an awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among staff and the students. 
• To conduct workshops, seminars and training courses on IPR.
• To promote academic freedom and innovations.
• To foster innovations leading to human progress and advancement
• To impart training on patent filing process.
• To encourage faculty members and students to go for patentable innovations, copy rights etc.
