The St Joseph's Province of CST Fathers is one among Little Flower Congregation which had its origin on 31st March 1931 at Mookkannur, in Ernakulam-Ankamaly archdiocese. Very Rev. Fr. Basilius Panat CST is the Founder of the Congregation. The Patron Saint of the Congregation is St. Therese of the Child was a French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun who is widely venerated in modern times. She is popularly known as "The Little Flower of Jesus", or simply "The Little Flower." St. Joseph's Province is dedicated to proclaiming God's love to the poor and needy. It serves human kind with unconditional love care to empower them to meet life's challenges. As envisionsd by the founder and rooted in the charism of "Be Little and Serve the Little", the members of this congregation involve themselves in village development activities. At present the Congregation runs 59 educational institutions spread all over the country and there are approximately 64410 students on its rolls.

JPM College is the result of the dream of a group of fathers of the St. Joseph's Province of CST Fathers Aluva, to provide education to the economically and educationally less advantaged people of the High-ranges. In 2005 responding to the request of parents, the priests in the Ashram arranged tuition classes at the Little Flower Ashram. Later the requests of the parents made to start a private open regular junior college which later metamorphosed in to a Private Degree College. In 2008 it got affiliation as an unaided college with 3 UG programmes. The JPM campus consists of JPM Arts and Science College, John Paul Memorial B.Ed College and JPM Junior College overlooking the busy Kattappana- Kuttikkanam stretch of the Kattappana Kottayam state highway JPM Arts and Science College has maintained excellent results in university examinations the time of its very beginning, In order to enhance the quality of the teaching and learning process, the college regularly conducts national seminars, add on courses, department-wise and intercollegiate fests, industrial visits, training programmes. etc. The college is keen maintaining high standards of discipline in the campus which goes a long way in fine tuning the potential of the learners The college also provides excellent lab and library facilities for its students and subscribes to various magazines, national ant international journals, books a lid materials for competitive exams such as Civil Service.
